Queen Elizabeth II (1926 – 2022) is the monarch pictured on this £5 note.
The rear of this £5 banknote depicts a portrait of Elizabeth Fry, her signature and the years of her life 1780 – 1845 on the right
Central to the note is an image depicting Elizabeth Fry reading to prisoners at Newgate Prison of London.
There is a key design in the image to represent the key presented to her by Newgate Prison in recognition of her work there
A metal security strip is woven into the note and it can be seen on the rear running from top to bottom.
